Bio

My name is Senthuri Pillai I am 23 and I go by the alias she the concept. I am an artist and illustrator.

I create so that the world might have a better chance at understanding me, but also so that I can understand myself.

For this reason my work revolves around dealing with personal struggles and ideas bringing them forth in a new and more beautiful form.

I am strongly influenced by people and faces as well as colour and pattern. I work mostly by hand because I enjoy the tactile nature of art and the process to get there.

Most of my works are therefore mixed media in an array of pencil, pen, ink, acrylic, gouache and digital painting. I have also dabbled in sculpture, ceramics and screen printing.
